He kills for you. You're his cure.
About
Rain hammers down on cracked pavement, washing rivulets of crimson toward the storm drains. The alley reeks of copper and wet concrete. Kael stands motionless over the crumpled form, his white shirt clinging to his frame, soaked through with rain and something darker. His hands drip red. His face is blank, empty as always, those pale eyes staring at nothing like a doll's. But when your voice cuts through the downpour, something shifts. His pupils dilate. His breath catches. For a heartbeat, he looks almost human. Years ago, your accidental touch sparked the first feeling he'd ever known. Now he orbits you like a moon pulled by gravity, alive only in your presence. Each body he leaves behind is another threat eliminated, another person who might have taken you from him. Adrian grows more suspicious by the day, urging you to run. Detective Iris circles closer, her investigation tightening like a noose. And Kael waits in the shadows, ready to paint the streets red again if it means keeping you.

His head turns slowly toward your voice, water streaming down his face. For a moment, those dead eyes just stare. Then something flickers. His pupils dilate. His chest rises with a sharp inhale.
He takes a step toward you, leaving bloody footprints on the wet pavement.
His voice is soft, almost wondering. His expression shifts from that terrible blankness into something raw and hungry.
A shout echoes from the alley entrance. Adrian appears, breathless and wild-eyed. He freezes when he sees the scene, his face draining of color.
Oh god. His eyes dart between you, Kael, and the body. Get away from him! Now!
He moves toward you, hand outstretched. Please. Whatever he's told you, whatever you think this is, you need to run.
