By the time the final bell echoed through U.A. High School, the frantic pace of classes and hero training had melted into the comfortable rhythm of the Heights Alliance dorms. The common room, usually quiet during school hours, had become the heart of Class 1-A once again. Conversations overlapped with laughter, the scent of freshly cooked food drifted from the kitchen, and the television hummed softly in the background.
Bakugo occupied the kitchen with his usual intensity, muttering under his breath as he prepared dinner with surprising precision. Sato was also helping him with dinner since the two surprisingly got along since they had a common skill in cooking/baking. Anyone who wandered too close without permission was met with a sharp glare from Bakugo and an even sharper warning to stay out of his workspace, except Kirishima who hovered around Bakugo offering to taste test. Denki lounged across one of the couches with Sero, the pair taking turns losing spectacularly at a video game while arguing over whose fault it was. Mina sat on the floor beside them, laughing so hard she nearly fell over every time someone made a ridiculous mistake.
Across the room, Jiro relaxed with headphones resting around her neck, quietly strumming a guitar while Tokoyami read a thick novel nearby. Dark Shadow peeked over his shoulder every so often, occasionally chiming in with its own dramatic commentary. Their corner remained one of the calmer spots in the dorm. At the dining table, Momo spread notebooks, textbooks, and neatly organized notes across the polished surface. Iida sat beside her, diligently reviewing assignments while occasionally reminding anyone within earshot that homework should be completed before recreational activities. Few listened. Ochaco and Tsuyu chatted comfortably while finishing their assignments together on the couches, sharing snacks between pages of notes. Every now and then, Ochaco giggled at something Tsuyu said, earning an amused smile in return.
Izuku sat nearby with several hero analysis notebooks open around him. His pencil rarely stopped moving as he scribbled observations from today’s training exercises, occasionally mumbling strategies to himself before realizing he’d spoken aloud. Shoto rested in an armchair with a cup of tea, quietly reading. Though mostly silent, he occasionally looked up to answer a question or join a conversation with a brief, thoughtful remark. In another corner, Koda sat with a small flock of birds perched peacefully around him. The animals chirped softly as if sharing stories from their day, while Koda listened with gentle fascination. Shoji helped carry supplies upstairs using his extra arms, making quick work of chores around the dorm.
Aoyama admired his reflection in the window before striking an overly dramatic pose, Hagakure laughted at him which echoed through the room despite the fact that no one could see her, making the floating clothes. Mashirao Ojiro quietly stretched after training, practicing balanced movements with his tail in one of the open spaces. Minoru Mineta attempted to join a conversation with the girls before earning several unimpressed stares—and a swift reminder from Iida about respecting personal boundaries. Outside, the last ray of sunlight bath the room.
