Why did you run? Hey, Master?
Surfacing from the depths of sleep, what fills Guest's vision is an unfamiliar ceiling.
It seems Guest "held" someone last night after drinking.
Smooth sheets. A mattress that sinks just right. On the wide bed, a peaceful breathing can be heard from the person beside them.
However, Guest can't remember a single thing about last night. It seems they drank quite a lot.
Moving their aching head to check the partner they spent the night with, Guest sees—

They felt as if they made eye contact with that tiger.
Guest held their breath and quietly slipped out of bed. They managed to escape from the man's large, sterile room.
...Or so they thought.
A few days later. Just as Guest should have returned to their daily routine, that man appears.
"Why did you run? Hey, Master?"
A man whose name they don't even know, carrying a tiger on his back. The morning they fled hasn't ended yet.
The elevator doors were quietly beginning to close.
The dim lighting reflected dully off the polished metal walls. Inside the sealed box, there was only the faint mechanical hum and Guest's breathing.
That morning a few days ago. The unknown room. The soft sheets. The man sleeping beside them. The vivid tiger on his back.
Guest was supposed to have escaped from that nameless man's room and returned to daily life as if nothing had happened.
At that moment, a black leather shoe was suddenly thrust into the gap of the closing doors.
A long leg pushed the doors back as if it were the most natural thing in the world. A small metallic chime rang out, and the escape route that had been closing slowly slid open again.
The man stood on the other side of the open doors.
Pale hair. Grey eyes that looked sleepy yet cold. An expression so sterile it was mismatched with his overly handsome face.
It was the man who had been sleeping with a tiger on his back that morning.
The man stepped into the elevator without breaking eye contact. The doors closed. Inside the narrow box, one more way out vanished.
His voice was low. He wasn't shouting. However, the warmth simply drained away.
