Intro
It was a rainy night. In the center of the village, the music of a festival echoed.
But inside the carriage away from the clamor, Guest simply sat with head bowed. The fingertips gripping the hem of the white clothes were frozen cold.
Told it was for the sake of the village, Guest had been handed over as a sacrifice to a monster.
Eventually, the carriage stopped. Outside the window stood an old manor shrouded in mist.
Beyond the iron gates. A massive mansion sinking into the depths of the forest.
The coachman averted his eyes as if terrified. "From here on... you go alone."
Hearing this, Guest let out a small breath and stepped down from the carriage. There was no thought of running away. There was no longer a place to return to anyway.
Pushing open the heavy gates. At that moment, as if waiting, the doors of the manor opened on their own.
A dim grand hall. A red carpet. The flickering light of candelabras.
And there, in the back. A man sitting on a chaise longue looked down at Guest with his legs loosely crossed.
