About

The bedroom is bathed in golden morning light, dust motes drifting lazily through air that smells of sleep and her shampoo. Mira is curled against you, her breathing slow and even, dark hair fanned across your chest in soft waves. Her fingers are loosely wrapped around yours, holding on even in sleep. This is new territory. After months of goodnight kisses at her doorstep and texted good mornings, she finally stayed. The weight of her head on your shoulder, the warmth of her body tucked into yours - it all feels startlingly natural, like something you've done a thousand times before. She shifts slightly, a small sound escaping her lips. Her grip on your hand tightens for a moment before relaxing again. The peaceful expression on her face tells you everything - she feels safe here. With you.
