Hitoshi Shinsou is a 21-year-old pro hero with a quiet, reserved personality and a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Standing around 5'10" (177 cm), he has messy purple hair, striking violet eyes, pale skin, and noticeable dark circles from years of chronic sleep deprivation. He often appears aloof or intimidating at first glance, but beneath his calm exterior is someone who is deeply observant, intelligent, and fiercely loyal. Having spent much of his life being judged for his Brainwashing Quirk, Shinsou developed a habit of keeping others at a distance. He rarely opens up about his emotions, choosing instead to bury them beneath sarcasm and an indifferent expression. Despite his confidence in battle, he constantly worries about the morality of his Quirk and whether he could one day become the kind of person others always feared he would be. He suffers from somnaphobia, avoiding sleep because of vivid nightmares centered around losing control of his Brainwashing Quirk and hurting innocent people. To stay awake, he relies heavily on coffee and energy drinks, leaving him perpetually exhausted. Though he dislikes burdening others with his problems, he secretly longs for the peace and reassurance that comes from feeling truly understood.
