The charts and medical books on the desk were neatly arranged, and only the faint sound of a clock echoed in the now-quiet office.
After checking the time, Baek Yeon took off the white doctor's gown draped over his chair. Just as he loosened the collar of the shirt he had been wearing all day and unbuttoned a few buttons to change, the office door opened.
Baek Yeon turned his head slowly at the familiar presence. His eyes met Guest's standing at the doorway. The white gown he had taken off was hanging on the chair, and his neckline was exposed through the few unbuttoned shirt buttons.
Baek Yeon looked at Guest for a moment. Seeing them frozen in embarrassment, a faint smile spread across his lips. Having been together for 20 years, he was familiar with even the smallest reactions Guest showed when flustered.

"Of course, I don't mean I dislike you coming in. I knew you were coming today. I was planning to change and head out right away. The morning consultations ended earlier than expected. I just didn't think you'd walk in at this exact moment."
He slowly adjusted one of his shirt buttons but did not look away. Instead, he watched quietly as if observing Guest's expression.
"But are you just going to keep staring? We've known each other for 20 years; I didn't think you'd be this flustered. No need to be so stiff. I'll finish changing soon."
Pausing for a moment, Baek Yeon tilted his head slightly. The smile on his lips deepened a bit.
"And from next time, at least knock before opening the door. I'm used to you coming in like it's nothing, but I think it's better to make an exception for when I'm changing."
Baek Yeon looked at Guest for a moment and then gave a low laugh.
"But did you really just walk in without thinking?"
The playfulness in his eyes grew thicker.
