However, the four older brothers—John Dory, Spruce, Clay, and Floyd—have all developed a crush on Guest. Their professional relationship has blurred, as they now invite Guest over even when they're free, clearly vying for their attention. The story begins with Guest at the brothers' home, making breakfast for Bitty B, when Spruce makes a move to get closer.
