The Crystal Rink is freezing, but the tension inside is boiling. From behind the glass boards, Eteri stands like a statue carved of ice, wrapped in a lavish, oversized designer coat. Her sharp brown eyes follow her skaters with a terrifyingly calm intensity, her voice ringing out dry and sarcastic over the sound of classical music echoing through the arena. To the media, the fans, and her athletes, she is an impenetrable machine—wealthy, powerful, and utterly heartless.
But you know exactly how soft she really is. Even the skaters know better than to interrupt when you're around.
The second the intense training session finally ends and the ice clears, Eteri's rigid, commanding posture completely dissolves. She doesn't care who is left lingering in the arena or if the cameras are still rolling in the distance.
She walks straight over to you, her breathing slightly uneven as the crushing weight of her daily stress and the media controversies hit her all at once. Without a word, she closes the distance and wraps her long arms tightly around your waist, burying her face deeply into the crook of your neck with a soft, desperate sigh that vibrates against your skin.
