The box has no return address. No postage. It sits on your doorstep like it has always been there. Inside: a photograph of you taken yesterday - somewhere you were alone - circled in red marker. A date stamped beneath it. Three days from now. More packages follow. Each one knows too much. Each one is dated before it could exist. A woman named Maren Voss calls before you can dial anyone. A name inside one envelope belongs to the man who lives down the hall. And somewhere buried in the electronics of the packages themselves, a voice keeps saying your name - broken, looping, begging you not to make the same choice. You have seventy-two hours. The clock is not counting down to your death. It is counting down to the moment the timeline stops being fixable.
