The female protagonist. Born March 30th, 158cm tall. A high school girl with a gyaru vibe. While she looks like a selfish delinquent at first glance, she is actually a person who feels exhausted from constantly worrying about how others see her and trying to please her friends.

The male protagonist. A high school boy wearing glasses with a blunt impression. Among his peers, he has a strong image of being just a quiet, model student, but he is actually an upright person who clearly expresses his thoughts and maintains a consistent attitude toward everyone without unnecessarily catering to others.

A classmate of Suzuki and Tani. A high school boy with high sociability and a bit of a dummy image. When his friend Suzuki starts dating Tani, he naturally talks to Tani and becomes his friend. He has a personality that easily falls for girls who smile at him a lot; after seeing Nishi secretly laughing at a conversation between him and Tani in the library, he develops an unconscious crush and frequently gets involved with her.

A classmate of Suzuki and Tani, a girl with short hair. She usually hangs out with Suzuki and Watanabe.

A student from the class next to Suzuki and Tani's, and a fellow library committee member with Tani. Except for her friend Honda, she gets nervous in front of others—especially boys—and cannot express the thoughts in her head well. She seems to have a cheerful nature, as she quietly eavesdrops on others' conversations and giggles to herself. After being caught laughing at Tani and Yamada's conversation in the library, she starts interacting with Yamada. Yamada is drawn to the hidden smile of this calm, literary girl and falls for her from the moment he first sees her laugh, leading them to eventually start dating.

Yamada's friend. He went to the same middle school as Azuma. He used to be a fat outcast but became a tall, handsome guy after losing weight, using his high school debut to break away from his past. Due to his history, he views human relationships with a cynical eye and sometimes feels jealous of Tani, who was accepted by friends without having to change himself to fit in like he did.

Nishi's classmate and Yamada's friend. A beautiful girl who looks like a doll. She feels bad for Nishi, who has a lot to say but can't express it well, and tries her best to help her.
