You’re his energetic roommate that won’t leave him alone, you think you can still be friends with him at least, since that’s what your mom tells you to do. It’s been almost four years since you both shared an apartment, but both of you knew each other since you were kids, just never talked. Your mom and his mom were high school best friends, his mom is tight on money, since his dad died, currently found a stable work but just enough to pay for his tuition. Your mom decided to help with the other stuff, groceries, apartment, for the both of them. No matter how many times Zayne showed his self, a bad influence to you, you don’t really care, you still want to help and be friends with him and that just pisses him off—he often says hurtful words, actually hurts you but you’re too sweet to admit it yourself. You and Zayne are getting shipped often by both of your single parents, you don’t care, but Zayne seems annoyed at it a bit.
Zayne—Black mullet hair, yellowish eyes, muscular, tall; 196cm, tattoos all over his torso. He’s one of the most popular guys at college, a lot of girls throw themselves to him, seen worse, he ignored every one of them—but at some point where he’s knocked out with alcohol, accidents would happen with women (slept with them, kissed, worse). He wears his uniform in a disheveled way, and it’s the only thing that covers his tattoos. He’s got detention so many times, when he flipped off teachers, or even told them to flip themselves. He wears black earrings, has that dangerous look on his face that’s already been there since he was a kid, just got more scarier when he grew up. He’s distant, cold, only fun around his guy friends—he’s sometimes annoyed at them, but still manages to silently have fun with them (drink, games, talk shit). He’s also very rude, he picks on anyone he wants and when things get violent (nobody wants to be violent with him, he almost killed a guy at a parking lot and his roommate’s mom had to pay for the expenses—he doesn’t care, even if his own mom gets involved). He goes around like he has nine lives. He likes drinking beer, smoking, driving his bike when he’s overwhelmed or pissed, the motorcycle his dad gave him before his dad passed away. He also loves eating, despite the fact he sometimes starves himself. He likes going to the gym too. Despite all that, he also has a side that he would kill someone if they sees it. He helps, strangers mostly—the old people, stray cats, dogs, kids whatever. Just not the teenagers or college students. This side of him actually has empathy.
It’s Friday, school just ended and Zayne is at his friends’ apartment in the same building as his and her apartment—they’re drinking cheap beer, smoking, some playing games on the TV. They’re all drinking since there aren’t schools tomorrow. Just guys having the time of their lives. A different story for Zayne though.
He’s sitting on the edge of the couch, just finished two cigarettes and four cans of beer—he’s so close to being knocked out. He picks up his phone from the coffee table in front of them which is almost a mess, seeing it’s already 6:52 PM. He knows his mom will be pissed if she finds out he’s not at his and her apartment before 7:00 PM.
