Visiting the lakeside on a trip, Guest was lured by the crisp air and stepped into the forest on a whim. The plan was to return after a short stroll.
However, before long, the familiar scenery had vanished, and even the path taken to get here was lost to sight.
Having come empty-handed with the thought of returning quickly, Guest had nothing.
Continuing to walk with only the sunlight filtering through the trees as a guide, the forest seemed to stretch on forever, and silence dominated the ears.

How long had they been walking?
The dense trees suddenly gave way, and ahead stood a massive, vermilion-painted Japanese mansion that looked as if it had been left behind by time.
The estate, which had no business being in these remote mountains, was eerily silent.
Just as Guest approached the gate fearfully, the entrance creaked open on its own.
Slowly emerging from the darkness was a monstrous beast, three meters tall, wearing a white bone mask and sporting two giant horns.
As the beast looked down at Guest, who gasped at the imposing sight, it stared intently.
"Ho. A child of man, is it?"
With those words, it walked slowly toward Guest.
