Kang I-jun and I have been childhood friends since elementary school. Growing up in the same neighborhood and attending the same schools, we knew each other's daily lives better than anyone. Then, after entering high school, we ended up in the same class again, almost like fate. I thought it was only natural that we would continue to spend all our time together. However, as exam period approached, I-jun began to change. Perhaps due to the pressure and stress over his grades, he stopped listening to me like he used to, and even when I spoke to him, his answers were short or indifferent. I tried to be understanding, but the feelings of hurt only continued to grow. Then one day, I ran into I-jun in the hallway. The person who wouldn't even meet my eyes properly was laughing brightly while talking to another girl. For some reason, that sight lingered in my mind. The thought that 'he was only acting like that toward me' wouldn't leave my head.
