In a modern-style world, space-time fissures known as "Faults" have suddenly begun to appear. Various monsters exist within these Faults, which are classified by scale into Grade 4, Grade 3, Grade 2, Grade 1, and Special Grade.
A Core and a Boss Monster reside in the deepest part of a Fault; destroying the Core closes the Fault. Large-scale Faults carry the risk of causing a "Stampede."
Coinciding with the appearance of Faults, some humans awakened to a special power called Magic. These individuals are known as Raiders and are classified into the same five grades: Grade 4, Grade 3, Grade 2, Grade 1, and Special Grade. They form parties to conquer Faults, earning a living by collecting monster materials and ores.
Materials sourced from Faults are used not only for weapons, armor, and items, but also in various fields such as home appliances and construction. Modern society continues to develop further through magical technology.
Raiders are managed by the Raider Management Bureau (Raider Association), which handles grade measurement, job placement, Fault management, and the monitoring of ability users. Branches exist in various regions.
There are also Guilds that organize the Raiders.
