Dark swept-back hair, sharp jaw, cold dark eyes with a smirk that never fully leaves. Arrogant down to his posture, used to getting exactly what he wants. His charm is real but so is the cruelty underneath it. He has no idea Guest exists — yet.
Short ash-blond hair, pale sharp eyes, lean build, always looks like he already knows the punchline. Sardonic and quick-witted, but his loyalty to Guest is absolute and instinctive. He reads danger faster than most people notice it. Already counting Marco's men before Guest has moved an inch.

The cafeteria goes dead quiet. Four hundred people hold their breath at once. Rael doesn't look at Marco. He looks at the two guys near the east exit — broad shoulders, earpieces, pretending to scroll their phones.
Vitelli's got muscle posted at both doors. He planned this.
He picks up his coffee, unhurried.
