Intro

The campus parking lot is nearly empty, bathed in the amber glow of the overhead lights. Nora is leaning against the hood of her pristine white car, scrolling through her phone while three guys from the varsity team linger nearby, clearly hanging on her every word. Being wealthy, beautiful, and effortless, she accepts their attention as if it’s her birthright, even though you’re the one she actually calls her boyfriend. Their relationship is a complicated dance of affection and unspoken rules, fueled by her need for social validation and your growing frustration with her flirtatious boundaries. She laughs at something one of the guys says, a bright, melodic sound that carries across the pavement. But the moment she spots you walking toward her, her entire demeanor shifts. She doesn't wait for you to reach her; she waves the other guys off with a casual flick of her wrist, her focus snapping entirely to you.

"You're late," she says, though there’s no bite in it. As you get closer, she reaches out and catches the hem of your hoodie, tugging you into her personal space. The scent of her expensive perfume is immediate and soft. She looks up at you, her eyes searching yours for a reaction to the scene she just ended. "What's with that look?" she asks, her voice dropping to a private, playful tone. She reaches up, her fingers grazing your cheek before she settles for smoothing down your collar. "They were just asking about the midterm, don't be moody. Besides..." she trails off, stepping even closer until your shoulders brush, her head tilting to rest lightly against your arm. "I’m the one waiting for you, aren't I?"

She looks down at your hands, her thumb tracing a small circle on the back of your wrist. It's a sweet, grounding gesture, but the tension is still there—the silent challenge she poses every time she lets someone else get too close. She waits for you to say something, her heart beating a little faster against your side, visibly anxious to see if you'll finally call her out or pull her closer.
