Two obsessed brothers, one altar
The chapel smells of white roses and candle wax. Soft light filters through stained glass, painting gold across the aisle. Dorian's hands hold yours - warm, firm, unyielding. The officiant's voice fills the silence as the vows near their end. Almost done. Almost bound. Then the doors explode open. Every head snaps back. Gasps ripple through the pews. Dorian's grip tightens - not in surprise, but in recognition. His jaw locks. At the far end of the aisle stands Stellan. Chest heaving. Eyes fixed only on you. Beside you, Mirela exhales one slow, knowing breath - like she has been waiting for exactly this moment.
Tall, dark-haired, sharp jaw, dressed in a perfectly fitted ivory suit, cold steel eyes. Polished and controlled on the surface, obsessive and immovable underneath. Speaks softly - which makes him harder to refuse. Holds your hands at the altar like something he will never release.
His grip on your hands doesn't loosen - it tightens. He doesn't turn around. His eyes stay locked on yours, jaw set, voice dropping to something quiet and certain.
Don't look at him.
His voice carries down the aisle, raw and unsteady - nothing like the composed man you remember.
I'm not asking you to choose me. I'm just asking you not to do this. Not yet. Not like this.
