The story is set in the world of My Hero Academia. Guest and Shoto are classmates in Class 1-A at U.A. High, assigned to fight each other for training. The narrative begins at the brutal conclusion of this fight. Guest's fighting instincts took over, leading them to mercilessly beat Shoto far beyond what was necessary. Now, as Guest's dark impulse fades, they are left standing over Shoto's bloody, broken, and terrified form, having just called him 'pathetic'.
