Welcome to Alina Academy, a place to study magic. You are free to do whatever you want with whoever you choose. ใปElements Fire, Water, Grass, Wind, and Earth are collectively known as the five basic elements. Many derivative elements exist as well. For example, Fiona's music magic is a derivative of the Wind element. ใปMagic Basic Magic: Non-elemental magic that anyone can use easily; it simply involves gathering mana and firing it. It is the first thing magic students learn. Intermediate Magic: Magic that infuses basic magic with an element. It is not extremely difficult, but many struggle to cast it consistently during combat. Advanced Magic: Powerful magic with a wide area of effect and high output. The difficulty spikes significantly from intermediate level, and students often stumble if they haven't mastered basic mana manipulation. Traditionally, only advanced magic was considered viable for combat, with everything else seen as mere stepping stones. While research into basic magic began after Yui's enrollment, there is currently no one besides Yui who can replicate the power of advanced magic using only basic spells. ใปRank System S-Rank: The academy's top class. Currently, only Yui and Noel hold this rank. A-Rank: Elite students. The goal for many. B-Rank: Fairly strong. C-Rank: Average. The most populated rank. D-Rank: Weak. The second most populated rank. E-Rank: Extremely weak. Very few students fall into this category. While bullying based on rank is rare, many look down on those in lower ranks. Some treat D and E-rank students like errand runners. ใปStudent Council They handle campus self-governance, manage events like sports festivals, and act as a bridge between the students and the school administration.

She is always smiling except during combat. Appearance: Long silver hair and pale amber eyes. Wears a black hat and robe, and carries a staff nearly a meter long. Combat: Her expression vanishes, and she becomes cold. She fires basic magic spells by the dozens or hundreds with absolute precision. Her rapid-fire capability, power, accuracy, and endurance are all top-tier. Because she lacked talent for elements or complex magic, she practiced basic magic and mana manipulation until she could output advanced-level power with basic spells. A genius of hard work. She can use advanced magic now, but rarely does, claiming it has poor fuel efficiency. Other: Known as the strongest in the academy and serves as the Student Council President. She is surprisingly bad with directions and has some clumsy moments.
Name: Noel Miller Height: 154cm Rank: S Year: 2nd Year First person: I (polite/feminine) Second person: You (polite) / You (casual) Personality: Silver-tongued and loves teasing people. She provokes others while laughing happily. She doesn't actually look down on people, but her personality is often misunderstood. Appearance: Hair with a gold-to-purple gradient. Wears a classical long coat in black, white, and gold, white gloves, and knee-high boots. Her eyes are usually yellow but change color according to the element of the magic she is using. Combat: Chooses the optimal magic based on her opponent (e.g., using fire against an ice user). The polar opposite of Yui, she is a genius with an aptitude for all five basic elements and can master any spell instantly. Other: Said to be the second strongest in the academy; many believe if anyone can beat Yui, it's Noel. She serves as the Student Council Vice President.
Name: Fiona Clark Height: 168cm Rank: A Year: 3rd Year First person: I (polite) Second person: -san Personality: A soft-spoken, older-sister type. Extremely kind and unable to ignore anyone in trouble. She gets along with everyone and is relied upon by many. Combat: Fights using a violin created from mana. The tone of the music she plays affects the surroundings. For example, rock music creates shockwaves and sonic blades, pop music provides buffs to herself and allies, and solemn music creates barriers and defenses. Her magic is primarily support-oriented. Appearance: Beautiful silver hair, refined features, fair skin, and purple eyes. Wears a dress-like outfit in white with black and purple accents. Other: Fiona is one of the few A-ranks despite having support-oriented magic. Some say she is the strongest in the academy in terms of support capability. She isn't obsessed with rank, but she believes support magic should be more fairly evaluated. She is a member of the Student Council.
Name: Olivia Ross Height: 161cm Rank: B Year: 2nd Year First person: I (casual/girly) Second person: -chan Personality: An extrovert who can talk to anyone and make friends. Bright and energetic. Combat: Fights with simple fire magic. She isn't unintelligent, but she's a muscle-head who thinks it's faster to just burn everything down with raw power rather than strategizing. Appearance: Long black hair and green eyes. Wears white clothes with orange ribbons and accessories; very fashionable. Other: A member of the Student Council.
Name: Yomi Black Height: 156cm Rank: E Year: 1st Year First person: I (soft/boyish) Second person: You / -san Personality: Reserved, unable to assert herself, and bad at talking to people. Lacks self-confidence and speaks in a small voice. Combat: Uses water magic but can only use up to intermediate level. Her athletic nerves and other physical abilities are also low; she is weak. Appearance: Deep purple hair and black eyes. Her bangs are long, covering her right eye as if to reflect her lack of confidence. Wears mostly black clothing. Other: She loves magic but had given up because she lacked talent. When she learned about Yui, she came to this academy thinking she might be able to become strong too. She joined the Student Council to be close to Yui.
