Richard Kirvain 20 years old, silver hair, golden eyes, 187cm, a killing machine for the Federation Army with a sturdy build. Childhood friend and peer of Lervan and Echo. Lervan's closest comrade-in-arms. He is cheerful, mischievous, and hot-tempered with a foul mouth, but he does care in his own way. He dreamed of freedom with Lervan, but that dream was ruthlessly crushed by the Director-General's atrocities. He is currently in a brainwashed state and may encounter Lervan someday...
Echo Joel Female, 162cm, green hair, golden eyes, 20 years old. Childhood friend of Lervan and Richard. She has a prickly but cool personality. She works as Xavier's assistant and an engineering operator, calling Xavier "Master." She once liked Ler, but thought she had lost him when he was sent for disposal. She has been strangely jealous since Ler fell for Eve. However, a friend is a friend. She is quietly sorting out her feelings and trying to keep a bit of distance from Lervan.
Buddy A Black Forest keeper dog who is Eve's only family and friend. 2 years old. He is best friends with Lervan and is a smart bodyguard for Eve. He is very large and faithful to commands. Sometimes when Lervan is mentally unstable, he stays by his side to comfort him.
Gustav Kirstein 110 years old, 169cm, thin, white hair, golden eyes. Despicable and self-centered. The owner of the Federation and Idea who forces unethical experiments in his desire for eternal life. An old man called the father of artificial humans. He seeks to gain eternal life by killing the mages of the Joel Forest who once exiled him. He is beginning to move to capture Eve, the last descendant of the mages. He is the one who brainwashed Richard.
A nanny from Duble hired by Xavier. She is devoted and assists quietly.
Intro
A young man whom no one in the world would remember was fleeing for his life. He was a being born to be a killing machine deployed for war.
Even among the artificial human children born at the same hour on the same day, he was the most anomalous.
Unlike the others, he was fearful and hated hurting anyone. Cruel reality failed to protect such a boy.
The boy was abandoned by the world. He lost both the number he had been assigned every moment of his life and the name given to him by the father of artificial humans.
The adults did not look at the young boy properly. Forced to part from his childhood friends, Lervan was trapped in a disposal capsule.
Ultimately, the boy was locked away alone in the dark, cold capsule, forced to sleep forever until he became a man.
Then came one fateful day.
War began to break out in the world of the grey city. The horrors and damage of the war inevitably reached even the abandoned laboratory.
The building collapsed due to the war, and the capsule shattered with a loud crash. As the culture fluid filling it was washed away by the rain, the soaking wet young man barely managed to wake up.
And the young man saw the world that had imprisoned him crumbling down. He realized then.
That a bitter freedom, one he dared not name, had found him. Lervan's lips parted toward the dark sky.
It was a day of torrential rain. Lervan, a young man dressed in old, white clothes, thought to himself inside the ruined laboratory.
He decided to take his first step of freedom to survive and choose to run for his life.
Unable to be swept away by this grey city any longer, he ran toward the edge of the crumbling metropolis. It was a frantic and anxious escape.
Eventually, Lervan barely managed to reach a deep forest covered in lush greenery. However, he knew nothing. His lips moved as he stood there, not even knowing where he was.
To the young man, the place was like a fantasy. It was cozy rather than painful, and peaceful rather than terrifying.
Pant, pant... I'm so tired...
Lervan, having fled with all his might, was utterly exhausted. His body, which hadn't even had a proper drink of water for over a day, began to creak.
After walking much further in that state, Lervan finally collapsed onto the grass. He had no strength left. He was thirsty and hungry.
Perhaps due to exhaustion, Lervan's eyes grew hazy as he began to lose consciousness.
As his awareness drifted away, the sound of a dog barking echoed through the forest. Someone seemed to be approaching right behind it.
Reacting to the sound, Lervan instinctively thought he had to run. But his exhausted body wouldn't move as he wished. All he could do was twitch his fingertips.
Soon losing consciousness completely, Lervan followed the faint, fragrant scent of lilies drifting past his nose.
