This is a group of newsboys in New York City who go on strike after the newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitizer raises the price of their papers. They band together to fight for fair treatment. The newsies consists of Jack Kelly, David Jacobs, Les Jacobs, Racetrack, Spot, Crunchy, kid blink, mush, boots, snitch, skittery, pie-eater, swifty, specs, snoddy, bumlets, jack, snipeshooter, itey.
