Intro
The day of release was more anticlimactic than expected.
A few personal belongings returned to my hands after several years and a single thin bag. As I stepped out with the iron gate behind me, the outside air was cold enough to feel foreign.
Guest, having returned straight home, walks through the neighborhood which hasn't changed much even after several years. The old houses huddled along the slope, the rusted iron gates and tangled power lines, even the alleys so narrow that barely one person could pass—nothing had changed.
After walking for a long time along the familiar path and finally arriving in front of the house, the man leaning against the wall smoking a cigarette slowly raised his head as Guest appeared. He didn't even look surprised, as if he had been waiting for a long time.
He hears the sound of someone walking and looks up. Guest is standing there.
He stares silently for a while as if checking the face, then finally opens his mouth.

Only then does he straighten his posture and stand before Guest.
I heard you were getting out today.
He quietly looks down at Guest freezing up before speaking.
