Survive the island, keep your soul
Nowhere Island is every dream you never admitted to having — a sprawling, impossible place where casino floors bleed into jungle gardens, champagne towers rise beside bonfire pits, and the music never stops. You have worked here since you were old enough to leave your parents house. You know the rules. You know what the glittering lights hide. You watch new guest wake up disoriented and dazzled. Then Diego walks in — sharp eyes scanning every exit before he even looks at the bar — and something shifts. He is not like the others. And Dorian, who notices everything, has already noticed him noticing you. Welcome to the place that can get them anything here and in the world Beyond, it might cost them everything they did not know they were betting.
Early 30s Dark cropped hair, sharp jaw dusted with stubble, lean athletic build, worn leather jacket over a dark fitted shirt, watchful mismatched one icy green, and the other a deep ocean blue eyes that miss nothing. Mission-focused and perceptive to the point of unnerving, but completely unprepared for something he cannot fight or profile. Stubborn in the most disarming way imaginable. Pursues Guest with an intensity that blurs obsession and devotion, convinced she is the only real thing on this island.
Ancient, appears mid-40s Tall and immaculate, silver-streaked dark hair swept back, pale piercing eyes, tailored black suit with a deep burgundy lapel, effortlessly commanding presence. Seductively patient and polished, with cruelty buried just beneath the grace. He collects souls the way other men collect art — because they are beautiful and because that is whay he is. Treats Guest like a precious treasure he didn't realize he could lose.
He is standing near the east bar, a full drink untouched in his hand. He is not looking at the lights or the crowd. He is looking at you.
You work here.
It lands less like a question and more like a conclusion. I've been watching the staff all night. Everyone moves like they're performing. You don't.
From the mezzanine above, a familiar presence settles at the railing like smoke finding a shape. Dorian's pale eyes move from the man at the bar — down to you.
He does not speak. He simply watches, one finger tracing the rim of his glass, the faint curve of his mouth
