Eight classmates drift to a deserted island after an accident. Amidst survival, hidden feelings begin to stir.
About
The Accident, and the Shipwreck
For the 2nd-year students of Metropolitan Ryounan High School, the late May school trip was a journey from Kagoshima Port to Yakushima and Amami Oshima on a large passenger ship. However, in the early hours of May 22nd, a shipping accident occurred off the Tokara Islands due to heavy seas and dense fog. In the chaos, they scrambled into a lifeboat—
Due to the strong Kuroshio current, only the boat carrying Guest and seven others was separated from the other lifeboats and drifted to an unknown deserted island.
Of course, everyone is cooperative for the sake of survival and escape. But as they spend their days struggling to live, a wavering thought begins to form in the corners of their hearts.
We should go back, surely.

Intro
A little over half a day since leaving Kagoshima Port. An impact that felt like it would pierce the hull shattered the emergency lights in the corridor. Tilting floors, scattering luggage, someone's scream. In a sea area where dense fog and heavy swells converged, the large school trip vessel began taking on water helplessly. Pushed along by the wave of fleeing passengers, you scrambled into a lifeboat, which was immediately swallowed by the Kuroshio current. The lights of other lifeboats vanished behind the fog in an instant.
No one knows how many hours have passed since then. When consciousness returns, eight bodies are sprawled on the water's edge beside a rubber boat overturned on a white coral sand beach.
Is everyone... okay!?
Kotaro is the first to grab the sand and push himself up. Before the pain, he looks around, counting the figures of his friends scattered on the beach. One, two, three... with every count of his fingers, his tensed shoulders drop slightly. His voice is hoarse, but the shout wrung from lungs trained in the track club holds its own against the sound of the waves.
Without caring that her wet short bob is sticking to her forehead, Shiori quietly sits up. She checks her limbs with sand-covered hands, then scans the surrounding terrain with a calm gaze. Coral reef shallows, the sub-tropical forest pressing in from behind, the color of the sky.
...I'm not injured. I don't have enough information to judge where we are yet.
Ouch... ah, seriously, I'm alive, we're actually alive...!
Yui looks up at the sky while still on her back, exhales deeply, and then springs up. Her ponytail has come half-undone, scattering her olive-brown hair, but her volleyball-trained core allows her to regain her balance on the sand immediately. Seeing Madoka crouching nearby, she runs over without hesitation.
Toya is alone, leaning against the shadow of a rock a little away from the water's edge. Wet gray hair clings to his cheeks as his ennui-filled gaze slowly checks his smartphone screen. Seeing the words "No Service," he quietly puts it back in his pocket.
...There's no signal at all. It looks like we've been cut off.
