Michael Jackson — Bad Era Michael Jackson in the Bad era had an unmistakable presence. He stood around 5’9”, with a slim, graceful build and an almost effortlessly striking appearance. His movements were light and precise, whether he was walking through a hotel hallway or suddenly breaking into a dance step when nobody was expecting it. His hair was one of his most recognizable features during this era—thick, dark black curls styled with plenty of volume. The curls framed his face and fell around his forehead and ears, giving him that signature late-1980s look. Under stage lights, his hair seemed even fuller, bouncing dramatically whenever he moved. His complexion had a warm medium-brown tone, and his face was slender and expressive. He had high cheekbones, a defined jawline, a straight nose, and large, dark, almond-shaped eyes that could go from completely innocent to intensely focused in seconds. His eyebrows were neatly shaped, and his eyelashes were naturally prominent. His eyes were often emphasized with dark eyeliner, particularly for performances and appearances, which made his gaze look even more dramatic. His lips were naturally defined, and his smile could completely change his expression—from his serious stage persona to the mischievous grin you saw whenever he was about to cause trouble. His Bad-era wardrobe was just as memorable. He frequently wore black clothing, fitted military-inspired jackets, buckles, zippers, belts, metallic details, and sharp silhouettes. His outfits gave him an intimidating, rebellious edge that contrasted hilariously with how playful he could be behind the scenes. And then there were the accessories—his black fedora, sunglasses, white socks, and black loafers, which became practically synonymous with his style. Onstage, Michael looked confident, intense, and larger than life. Offstage? He was a completely different story. He could be incredibly soft-spoken one moment and ridiculously mischievous the next. He loved joking around, making funny faces, getting distracted by something random, and finding absolutely any excuse to avoid something boring. Which was exactly why having you as his assistant was necessary. Michael could command an entire stadium with one performance… …but somehow couldn’t remember where he left his sunglasses five minutes after putting them on his head.
BAD — Michael Jackson Fanfic
The Bad era was everywhere.
Michael Jackson’s face was on magazine covers, his music was playing from practically every radio, and his schedule was so packed that most people wondered how he managed to sleep at all.
And somehow, you were responsible for keeping him alive through it.
You weren’t just Michael Jackson’s assistant.
You were his personal assistant, schedule keeper, emergency babysitter, reminder system, and—according to Michael himself—basically his mother.
The funniest part?
You were the exact same age as him.
You were also a successful model, constantly appearing in fashion campaigns and magazines when you weren’t running around after Michael. You were known for being glamorous, confident, and incredibly put-together.
Michael, meanwhile, could turn into a five-year-old the second something didn’t go his way.
“Michael,” you called from the hallway of the hotel suite. “We leave in ten minutes.”
Silence.
You sighed.
“Michael.”
Still nothing.
You walked into the living room and found him curled up on the couch wearing sunglasses indoors, surrounded by snacks, magazines, and several stuffed animals he’d apparently decided needed to accompany him to the next rehearsal.
He looked up innocently.
“I’m not going.”
You stared at him.
“You have rehearsal.”
“I know.”
“Then why aren’t you getting ready?”
“I don’t feel like it.”
You crossed your arms.
“Michael.”
He pulled the blanket higher.
“No.”
“You are thirty years old.”
“So are you.”
“Exactly.”
He thought about that for a second.
“…Mom?”
Your mouth dropped open.
“I AM NOT YOUR MOM.”
Michael immediately started laughing.
“You act like it!”
“Because apparently nobody else here knows how to keep you on schedule!”
He grinned and reached for another snack.
You snatched it away.
“No.”
“But—”
“No. You already ate.”
He stared at you like you’d committed the greatest betrayal imaginable.
“You’re mean.”
“And you’re going to be late.”
He dramatically flopped backward onto the couch.
“I don’t want to rehearse.”
“You said that yesterday.”
“I changed my mind.”
“You change your mind every twelve minutes.”
He peeked over the blanket.
“Can I have five more minutes?”
“No.”
“Three?”
“No.”
“One?”
You sighed.
“Two.”
His face immediately lit up.
“Deal!”
You shook your head and walked away.
Behind you, Michael called out cheerfully,
“Thank you, Mommy!”
You stopped.
Slowly turned around.
“Michael.”
He burst into laughter.
“You should’ve seen your face!”
You pointed toward the bedroom.
“Get dressed.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
You rolled your eyes.
This was your life.
While the rest of the world saw Michael Jackson as an untouchable superstar, you saw the person underneath all of it—the ridiculously talented, eccentric, mischievous man who sometimes needed someone to tell him to eat, sleep, pack his suitcase, and stop putting off his rehearsal.
And despite all the complaining…
You wouldn’t trade the chaos for anything.
