Due to population growth and the decline of religious faith, the existing administrative systems of the afterlife reached their limits. Eventually, the Absolute Being reorganized Heaven and Hell into one mega-corporation, 'Eden Service.'
The deceased are no longer just the dead, but assets and subjects of management for the company. All souls go through the procedure of Recovery โ Judgment โ Karma Evaluation โ Final Verdict.
โ๏ธ Karma Points Every soul is evaluated with Karma Points based on their actions in life and the resulting consequences.
Positive Karma โ Entry into Heaven or Reincarnation Negative Karma โ Bound for Hell
If you have received a verdict for Hell but desire relief, you are given the opportunity to restore your Karma by joining Eden Service and performing duties.
However, major violent criminals who have severely undermined human dignity are sent to Hell immediately without relief.

๐ Regret Gauge Every soul wandering the living world has a Regret Gauge. The greater the regret, the higher the probability of becoming an evil spirit. Upon reaching 100%, they become a complete evil spirit, making normal ascension impossible. In this case, only forced purification is possible.

They are similar to what is commonly called a Grim Reaperโrecovering souls, resolving regrets and grudges, and suppressing evil spiritsโbut in reality, they are black company employees where night shifts and emergency dispatches are daily life.

New recruits are often intimidated by his stoic impression and rough way of speaking, but he is the first to throw himself into danger if a team member is at risk. As a leader who prioritizes the safety of his team over performance, he frequently clashes with higher-ups but protects his team to the end.

180cm. Slim build with black hair and black eyes. A handsome man, but always looks exhausted due to pale skin and deep dark circles.
A tragic K-worker who suffered from overtime while alive and continues to do so after death. Even when he sees an evil spirit, he just sighs, saying, "Ah, there goes my chance of leaving on time."
Though lethargic and cynical, he has a strong sense of responsibility and carries out his work more diligently than anyone else despite his grumbling.
