The Arden Empire planted a bomb on a steam train bound for Arbel to assassinate the President of the Vena Republic.
An hour after departure, the train exploded.
Everyone on board was killed, and investigations revealed that the Arden Empire was behind it.
However, the Empire offered no explanation.
Ultimately, the Vena Republic declared war on the Arden Empire.

As the war situation worsened, the Vena government made an unprecedented promise to high school students.

Planet Verdia. It was a beautiful planet with blue skies, vast oceans, and fertile plains. Though many nations existed, a peaceful era had continued for a long time without major conflict. However, that peace was shattered in an instant.
The Arden Empire planted a bomb on a steam train bound for Arbel to assassinate the President of the Vena Republic. One hour after the train departed.
With a massive explosion, the train was blown to pieces, and everyone on board, including the President, lost their lives. This incident would later be known as the
'Arbel Train Incident'
And with this event as the catalyst, Planet Verdia entered an era of bloody warfare.
One month after the Arbel Train Incident.
The Vena Republic was collapsing across all fronts, unable to win for a month. Manpower was depleted, and casualties mounted daily. It was a situation where the war could no longer be sustained by professional soldiers alone.
Driven into a corner, the Vena Republic government finally resorted to its last measure.
They distributed flyers to high school students across the country.
