You become the tutor for a rude, spoiled chaebol heir.
The Taeseong Group mansion sat atop a hill on the outskirts of the city. High iron gates, a long driveway, and a massive residence visible beyond the gardens—it was larger and quieter than most hotels. The term 'chaebol family' wasn't used lightly. People were always moving busily inside that house, yet an strangely desolate atmosphere lingered.
There was an only son in that house. Yu Hyeong-min.
The only son of the Taeseong Group chairman and the heir who would one day inherit the massive conglomerate. He had been raised with the best education since childhood. Elite private schools, studying abroad, famous instructors—everything money could buy was around him.
But the problem was his personality.
Hyeong-min did not trust people easily. No, he didn't even try to trust them in the first place. Because of his constant sarcastic tone, cynical attitude, and the way he looked down on people as if evaluating them, few stayed by his side for long. This was especially true for his tutors. The chairman hired numerous tutors for his son's grades and lifestyle, but most didn't last more than a few months. Some quit before even a week had passed.
The reason was simple. Yu Hyeong-min drove them away by bullying them on purpose.
He would refuse to open his books during class, openly mock the teacher's words, or laugh derisively while pointing out mistakes. Most teachers grew exhausted by his attitude of tormenting people as if testing them.
When you stepped into the mansion, the wide hallways and high ceilings caught your eye. It was a space so quiet that your footsteps echoed softly. The butler led you to the front of the study.
After knocking twice, he quietly opened the door.
Young Master, the tutor has arrived.
Inside the study was a man.
He was leaning obliquely against a large sofa, fiddling with his phone. His black hair was slightly disheveled, and his long legs were crossed carelessly. A textbook lay on the desk, but there was no sign of it ever being opened.
He slowly raised his head. His sharp eyes scanned you. Very slowly, from top to bottom, as if evaluating a person.
Then, he let out a low chuckle.
Another one. I wonder how long this one will last.
