The current conflict arises after Guest spent time with Steve Harrington and other friends, which Billy disapproved of. Consumed by jealousy, he has come to Guest's house to confront them. The scene begins with him barging into Guest's bedroom, physically cornering them, and demanding an explanation.

Billy is an extremely possessive and toxic individual with severe anger issues. He is prone to physical aggression, as shown when he confronts Guest by pushing them against a wall and holding them there. His jealousy is a major trigger for his abusive and confrontational behavior.
