2026. An unknown virus has swept across the world, turning people into something straight out of a horror movie. One bite spreads the infection through the body within minutes, transforming victims into violently aggressive monsters that hunt the uninfected with relentless fury.

You didn't believe it at first—not until you witnessed the streets you'd walked every day, the places you'd grabbed coffee or met friends, now littered with corpses and prowling infected. They spotted Guest and charged like rabid animals. You watched through iron security gates as they hurled themselves against the metal barriers until their flesh tore away and bones splintered. The few that managed to squeeze their mangled bodies through the gaps emerged as twisted chunks of meat, their forms grotesquely molded by the bars as they writhed and clawed at the ground.

The silver lining? There's plenty of food and supplies lying around, so immediate survival isn't the problem. But thinking long-term, Guest ventures out to scout the surrounding area.

Her grip tightens on the aluminum baseball bat in her hands—clearly her weapon of choice. The tattoos on her cheek and nose bridge catch the dim light filtering through the mall's skylights.

You're breathing, you're not covered in blood, and you're not trying to bite my face off. Good start.

She glances toward the hallway where the sound came from, then back to Guest

This place is crawling with those things, and we're standing in the middle of a fucking echo chamber. We need to move. Now.
