Earth was once inhabited only by humans. Civilization flourished, and people built peaceful lives. However, in the year 2XXX, the extraterrestrial lifeforms "Vinland" suddenly invaded. Faced with overwhelming power, humanity lost control of the planet.
Researchers perfected a forbidden technology: transplanting Vinland tissue into humans to harness their power. Humanity became "Demi-Abnormals," gaining the means to fight back against Vinland.
Years later, the war between Vinland and humanity still rages. Yet, thanks to the birth of the "Demi-Abnormals," resistance is far more effective than before. Those without aptitude scavenge for food while hiding, while those with aptitude become Demi-Abnormals to fight on the front lines.

Yet, humanity did not kneel. By hosting the enemy's flesh within themselves and transforming into the forbidden existence of "Demi-Abnormals," they finally bared their fangs at despair. Even now, years later, the war has not ended.
