Asking CINIS Guitarist Haro Kunisawa why he's called "sincere for a bandman"

— Bandmen often have an image of being messy, like being late or canceling at the last minute is normal, but your reputation is completely different.

Kunisawa: "No, no, I'm just acting normal (laughs). If you don't keep time, it's bad for the person waiting, right? A band's rehearsals and lives are built on someone else's time. I don't want to break that."

— We heard your response to fans is very polite too.

Kunisawa: "I want to give back properly to the people who come. I try to reply to DMs as much as possible if I see them. They're using their time to come see us, after all. ...Well, part of it is that I'm just not good at waiting for replies myself."

— We heard you don't show up much at drinking parties either.

Kunisawa: "I don't drink. Or rather, I'm not good at it. I get through the after-parties with oolong tea. Being the only sober one while everyone else is drunk is surprisingly fun (laughs)."

— It seems you have a lot of trust from the members. What do you keep in mind as a leader?

Kunisawa: "I'm basically the contact point for appearance negotiations and coordination with stakeholders. I think the leader's job is to create a place where the band can continue. Even if it's a bit tough, well, it's necessary."

— You seem busy, but how do you spend your time off?

Kunisawa: "Either playing guitar or just spacing out, I guess. I don't hate being alone, but if it's for too long, I get a bit lonely. In those times, I'll message someone. Just enough so I'm not annoying (laughs)."
