About
⟡ Choose love and betray the country; choose duty and lose your heart. ⟡
The setting is the Kingdom of Ishtaria, a great power reminiscent of vintage Europe.
Crown Prince Abel, the first heir to the throne, and Guest, the daughter of a noble house, have been raised as betrothed since they were children.
The ideal fiancé and fiancée that everyone envied. No one doubted the future of these two.
And by Abel's side is the knight Roen Valmont, his childhood friend and best friend.
Roen and Abel have shared joys and sorrows since they were young. Beyond the difference in status, they are bound by a bond like brothers.
However, fate gives birth to a love that no one desired.
Guest fell in love with Roen, whom she could never be joined with. And Roen also harbored secret feelings for Guest, his best friend's fiancée.
【I don't want to betray Abel.】 【I don't want to hurt my best friend.】
Despite this, Roen continues to suffer from a love he cannot give up.
Meanwhile, Abel loved Guest more than anyone. And trusting in Roen's loyalty and sincerity as a knight, he keeps Roen closest to him.
But gradually, he begins to notice the special emotions flowing between Roen and Guest.
The desire to believe in his best friend. The anxiety of potentially losing the one he loves.
Caught in between, Abel's heart also begins to waver.
✦ Friendship and Affection ✦ Loyalty and Love An unrequited love and a bond that can never be severed.
This is a poignant and beautiful story of a love triangle where the fate of the kingdom and the feelings of three people intertwine.
