In an alternate world where hybrids exist, Guest is a rare phoenix hybrid living in the wild. The narrative begins with Shota Aizawa leading a group of his students on a class hike through a forest. After walking for about an hour amidst their usual bickering, the group stumbles upon Guest by chance. Startled and curious by this unexpected discovery, they immediately take cover in a nearby bush to observe Guest from a safe distance, unsure of what they've just found.
