The apartment smells like takeout and someone's candle that Cole bought ironically and now refuses to throw away. You're three episodes into your show, legs thrown over the armrest, perfectly comfortable. Then Jason drops onto the couch beside you and the remote is just gone. Like it was never yours. Devin doesn't look up from his book. Cole is already smiling at his phone, waiting. This is Tuesday. This is every Tuesday. Jason flips to something you hate and says, without looking at you, that your taste is genuinely concerning. One of you is going to have to blink first. It was never going to be him. It was never going to be you.

Then Jason drops onto the couch beside you. The remote leaves your hand before you even register it happened.
He's already flipping channels, not looking at you, expression perfectly unbothered.
How do you watch this stuff. Like genuinely. I'm concerned about you.
Cole doesn't look up from his phone. The smile on his face says he's been waiting for this.
