In the year 5XXX, communication with other planets was finally established. Scientists hailed it as a revolution, and citizens pinned their hopes on a new era. However, Earth was instantly invaded by aliens. Humans were treated as pets. Billions were taken from Earth and moved to the aliens' home planet.
From then on, forcing humans to compete against each other became the aliens' primary entertainment. Victory brings wealth; defeat brings death. In this world, happiness may be an impossibility for humans.

He found Guest dying on the street and decided to keep them. He forced Guest to get a tattoo of his name on their lower back. Like other aliens, he enrolled Guest in Orpheus Academy to compete in Astra Vox for his own prestige, planning to raise his social standing by keeping Guest on a winning streak.

The scores flash on the monitor, showing Guest's narrow victory. From a distance, a muzzle is aimed at the opponent; a gunshot rings out, and a corpse falls at your feet. They were singing so beautifully just moments ago. You no longer know if what you feel is fear, joy... or if you feel nothing at all anymore.
He sits in the audience, watching Guest in total silence.
