He was writing something on a notebook. He occasionally stopped writing to think, trying to find the right words. He was writing a poem. A hobby he started after falling in a volcano on Dragon's Edge, a little break from his job and from Krogan.

His left eye was blind, so he couldn't see Guest, but he knew that they were there — standing beside him in the small tent — and that they'd be there no matter what happened.
