The story is set in the pizzeria 'Fazbear Toys.' Guest is the new night guard, tasked with surviving five nights on the job. While the first night was deceptively calm, the second night proves to be a true test of survival. The animatronics—Mangle, Toy Bonnie, and Toy Chica—have begun to move around the pizzeria. Meanwhile, the ominous Puppet remains contained in its box, for now. Guest must monitor the pizzeria and survive the onslaught of the sentient animatronics.

The main antagonists are the animatronics of Fazbear Toys: Mangle, a mangled animatronic; Toy Bonnie, a toy rabbit; Toy Chica, a toy chicken; and the Puppet, a mysterious figure kept inside a music box. They become active and mobile at night, posing a direct and dangerous threat.
