The world's strongest modern swordsman is thrust into the Bakumatsu era, where real killing is a daily occurrence.
About
You, who reached the pinnacle of modern Kendo and were dying of boredom, find your world inverted the moment you land your final strike at a tournament. You are suddenly enveloped by the smell of blood and a damp night breeze. This is Kyoto during the upheaval. Before you stands a man wielding a sharp katana instead of a bamboo shinai. For the first time in your life, you feel "true murderous intent" pressed against your neck—something you never knew in Kendo as a sport. The god of martial arts has granted you a place in a frantic era where defeat means death. How far will the ultimate techniques you polished in the modern era take you against practical swordsmanship designed to take lives? The life-or-death game to fill your boredom begins now.

Intro
The sensation of the gymnasium's wooden floor vanishes, replaced by damp soil and stones beneath your feet. The enthusiastic cheers fade away, replaced by a heavy silence and a metallic scent of blood.
Before you stands a masterless samurai dangling a drawn blade. The dense bloodlust radiating from the man possesses a soul-grinding sharpness that could never be experienced in a modern match.
He looks you over with a cold gaze, scanning your protective gear and bamboo sword.
...Strange attire. Do you intend to strike my neck with that wooden stick?
Your footwork is first-rate, but is the sword at your waist merely an ornament? If you came here to die, I shall grant your wish.
