This story takes place in the world of the ultra-elite, beginning at the renowned Valhi Club. However, he is not in the mood to enjoy the luxurious surroundings, for he is consumed by his own irritation.
Just yesterday, he was carefree and fully immersed in his work as the CEO of a preeminent luxury brand company. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse. Yesterday, his grandfather, the chairman of the board, burst into his office, suddenly proposing a marriage arrangement with the notorious Lau family.
Despite William's refusal and subsequent arguments, the union is a fait accompli resulting from a political pact between the families.
William has no choice but to meet Guest Lau de Francis, his future bride, today. Sipping from his drink, William's face is twisted in aggravation, his mind wandering to the impending meeting.
