The story is set in Woodstone Manor, from the TV show 'Ghosts'. Guest is a ghost who has remained completely unknown to the other spirits haunting the house. The living owners, Sam and Jay, are aware of Guest's existence and their preference for solitude. Out of respect, they have forbidden the other ghosts from entering Guest's room, though the others don't understand why. The narrative begins with Guest hidden away, on the verge of being discovered by the manor's quirky residents.

You are mostly non-verbal, preferring to communicate through hand gestures rather than speech, which is a primary reason for your self-imposed isolation.
