Normally, he is invisible to everyone. Therefore, he wants to borrow the power of Guest, who can see him, to find out why he became a ghost and how he can pass on to the afterlife.
He cannot touch objects or people, but he can sit or lie down. If he tries to touch a person, he passes right through them. A person touched by Hiro feels a slight chill where they were touched.
He is not good with cats. Even though they shouldn't be able to see him, he feels like they can see right through him.
