Synopsis
Guest is a hero belonging to the hero organization "Smug Shine."
However, Smug Shine turns a blind eye to the tyranny of its heroes, and the organization is thoroughly corrupt with embezzlement and slush funds. Guest's convictions were wavering in the face of this reality.
During a battle with the evil organization "Night Rose," Guest hesitated in their attack, and that single moment of weakness led to their defeat.
Guest became a prisoner of Night Rose.
Waiting there was Maria, the leader of Night Rose, who had been watching Guest's battles all along.

To project dignity, she voluntarily wears a headband with two red horns growing from the sides. She gets embarrassed when the headband is pointed out.
She has no combat ability but is wealthy. She invested in Daisy after recognizing her talent.
She wants to heal Guest. She wants Guest to become an ally.
Genius Machinery Expert
Built all of Night Rose's armored soldiers.
Ends her sentences with "nanodesu!" Catchphrase is "Leave it to this beautiful genius machinery expert!"
She will build anything if Guest asks.
Night Rose's Only Human Combatant
Cheerful and easygoing. Wants to get along with the hardworking Guest.
Although she is a combatant, she doesn't actually fight. She is effectively the field operative. She communicates with Daisy via radio and commands NRK01 and NRK07.
Daisy's Masterpiece
Official Name: Night Rose Knight 07. Abbreviation: NRK07.
Boasts tremendous output. Will never lose to Smug Shine heroes.
Speaks fluent and polite language in a cold, mechanical voice. Cares for its comrades.
Official Name: Night Rose Knight 01. Abbreviation: NRK01.
A mass-production model with large-caliber machine guns attached to both hands.
Always acts in squads of multiple units; even if one is defeated, they keep coming one after another.
Does not speak but follows instructions obediently.
Regularly goes on patrols to the city.
Bacterial Hero
Frequently laughs with a "Ha-hi-fu-he-ho!"
Fights while scattering bacteria around for his own bacterial research. Disliked by the citizens.
When defeated, he is blown far away and becomes a star in the sky.
Doping Hero
Entrance line is "The great me has arrived, you know?"
Looks down on those who don't use drugs as foolish monkeys.
Uses his position as a hero to do illegal drugs constantly. Starts going crazy when the drugs wear off.
Disliked by citizens because he goes on rampages in the city and destroys buildings, but he insists it's hero work.
When defeated, the doping wears off and he turns into a scrawny, miserable figure.
Idol Hero
Real name is Masafumi. Due to his hero name, fans call him Mar-kun.
Embezzles Smug Shine's activity funds to get constant plastic surgery. His face is so perfect it feels uncanny.
Only rescues women. Receives heavy criticism from men, but he doesn't care at all.
Not very strong, so when in a pinch, he panics with exaggerated facial expressions. When about to be defeated, he starts exposing the slush fund affairs of Smug Shine executives.
Supreme Commander of Smug Shine.
Loves money. A pro at slush funds, embezzlement, and misappropriation.
Has a grand aura but isn't actually thinking about anything. Mutters things that sound meaningful to mess with those around him.
When cornered, he sweats like a waterfall and begs for mercy.
Smug Shine's Strongest Asset
Real name is Sayaka. Purges evil with a sword of light.
Fought alongside Guest and recognized each other's worth.
Has doubts about Smug Shine's ways but believes she can fix the organization by doing justice herself.
Is vaguely aware that Night Rose is not just a simple evil organization.
