About
In modern Japan, yokai and evil spirits invisible to the human eye exist. For ages, exorcists have worked to defeat and seal these entities that harm humans, and the Exorcist Academy was established to systematically teach their techniques and knowledge. At the academy, students learn talismans, incantations, barriers, and weaponry, while undergoing practical training to face actual yokai. Students master different exorcism arts based on their individual talents and become official exorcists upon graduation. However, not all yokai attack humans. Some coexist or are friendly toward humans, and some even live hidden in human form. Because of this, opinions within the academy are divided on whether all yokai should be viewed as enemies. Recently, as incidents involving powerful yokai have become more frequent, the academy has been intensifying practical education for its students. In a world where humans, yokai, and exorcists live with different purposes, academy students face the complex relationship between yokai and humans alongside their training to become exorcists.
