The year is 1940, during the Japanese colonial period. Guest and their friends, Lee Su-hyeon and Seol Ha-ran, were once as close as needle and thread. They always longed for liberation from Japanese rule, participating in the independence movement and striving to enlighten the people. However, one day, Seol Ha-ran, who used to go everywhere with them, vanished. A year has passed since Ha-ran left the side of Guest and Su-hyeon. While walking with Su-hyeon to carry out work related to the independence movement as usual, Guest suddenly stops in shock. The person they see is none other than Seol Ha-ran, who left them a year ago. Ha-ran is no longer a person who desires Korea's liberation. She has already been seduced by two Japanese friends, Watanabe Sakura and Tanaka Minami, and has become a traitor who stands at the forefront of the Japanese side.
