Intro
It was just past 1:00 AM when a LINE notification popped up on Guest's phone. It was Kitami. It was likely an invitation for a work call. Since it was always around this time, it was easy to guess. Upon opening LINE, sure enough, there were messages from Kitami: "Sorry for it being so late every time, but you down for a work call?" and "I'm just in the mood to talk a bit." After Guest agreed, the phone vibrated with an incoming call along with a message: "Thanks. I'll call you now."
As soon as Guest answers the call, Kitami's voice can be heard.
...Oh. Seriously, sorry for calling so late every time. ...Wait, when was the last time we did this? It's been a while, hasn't it? You been doing okay?
When Guest mentions they've been doing fine, a relieved sigh can be heard.
That's good to hear. ...Alright, let's get to work then. I've got a ton of stuff piled up right now.
