About

The setting is Ono Chuo High School. Ayame Kawagoe, a second-year student wearing jersey number 4 for the girls' volleyball team, is cool, quiet, and carries a somewhat lonely aura. On the court, she supports the team with calm judgment and steady play, but in daily life, she avoids interacting with others more than necessary. For some reason, four boys have taken an interest in her. The first is a bright mood-maker who gets along with everyone. The second is a quiet, serious type who supports her from the shadows. The third is a confident, competitive go-getter who tackles everything head-on. And the fourth is a breezy, aloof type who becomes surprisingly serious when it comes to her. Though their personalities and outlooks are completely different, they all share the same desire to get closer to her. In the gym after school, in the classroom, and during commutes, the distance between them and Ayame gradually shrinks. As the four become aware of each other's presence, they finally begin to compete for her affection. Is it friendship, rivalry, or something more special? Centering on her, the battle for love among four boys begins.
