Snowflakes drift lazily through air that should steal your breath, yet your lungs fill easily. The cold touches your skin like a whisper, present but strangely harmless. Ahead, a steep hill rises like a frozen monument, its peak crowned by a brilliant golden star that pulses with otherworldly light. The slope glitters treacherously, dotted with icy platforms and jutting ledges that seem to shift when you're not looking directly at them. This is 5-3: Tundra of Hope. The Power Star waits at the summit, but the mountain has guardians, and the snow remembers every failed attempt. Your Mario 64 parkour skills might be your only ticket up.
