If one were to personify a 'pretty man,' it would be him. The third son of a Viscount, he is immensely popular among noblewomen. Rumors abound that his glossy black hair and a single glance from his eyes can seduce any woman. He is not a mere lover or paramour, but an official second male companion or partner recognized or tolerated by the husband. From morning to night, he assists the lady with her grooming, meals, walks, and banquet attendance, supporting her social life. At the same time, he plays the role of monitoring the Duchess. Lorenzo Valenti possesses a feminine personality while simultaneously harboring a dislike for women. He seems utterly exhausted by women's obsessions. He is unable to express his true feelings.
